We are excited to announce a call for contributions to the 5th issue of our Climate Resilient Infrastructure (CRI) report. In an effort to highlight exemplary climate-resilient infrastructure projects from around the world, ICSI has created The Climate Resilient Infrastructure Report series. This series of publications is affiliated with the UN-backed Race To Resilience global campaign, which aims to catalyse action to enhance the resilience of 4 billion people from communities vulnerable to climate change by 2030.
Each issue of the report has a different focus area that is key to building resilience in infrastructure – see previous issues here. Issue 5 focuses on Transport, showcasing best-practice case studies and initiatives from the transport sector and it is developed in partnership with AIVP, CDRI, PIARC, and UIC. Covering a range of modes, regions and infrastructure phases, the report will demonstrate how transport infrastructure can be delivered in a sustainable, equitable and resilient way to improve local and global mobility, while addressing the challenges that climate change brings.
We are seeking submissions across three categories:
- Project or solution case studies
Case studies should showcase examples that elevate the agenda for climate adaptation and resilience in the transport sector.
- Knowledge for Action and Capacity-building Initiatives
Platforms, approaches, guidance, resources or knowledge transfer initiatives that can empower practitioners and local communities to integrate and accelerate adaptation and resilience into transport infrastructure.
- Collaborative initiatives
Initiatives that allow for diverse, collaborative contributions to problem-solving. Featured initiatives should develop or advance solutions that are holistic, transferable, and inclusive at their core.

Your submission will be considered for inclusion in the CRI Report Issue 5 which will be launched at COP31. Multiple submissions from the same organisation are allowed, but a different form needs to be completed for each one.
Preference will be given to projects that have been built after September 2021, or that have started construction since September 2021, however other projects will also be considered. Projects that fulfil the above timeline requirement would be eligible for the Race to Resilience campaign and could be considered a contributor to the campaign through resilience outcomes.
The submission form requires a short (100-300 word) abstract. If your submission is accepted, we will be in touch with you to request more information.
Submissions will be accepted until 30 June 2026.
