ICSI Summit 2022
28 June, 2022 @ 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm BST
The recent reports from the UN’s climate science body, the IPCC, show that the timeframes for addressing climate change are narrowing and the next eight years will be critical. With escalating extreme weather and urbanisation, infrastructure has a vital role to play, and the engineering community must be part of the conversation.
Join the International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure at this virtual summit hosted by ICE, which will consider ways to drive the transformative change needed to deliver people-centred, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure that is fit for all our communities and the Earth.
Marking a milestone on the road to COP27, the summit will bring together the engineering community with city leaders, investors, the private sector, and civil society. This will be a powerful force to find bold, deeply collaborative ways to accelerate development and implement infrastructure that delivers the Sustainable Development Goals and achieves the climate targets of this decade and beyond.
You will hear from global experts – including Richard Threlfall, Chair of ICSI, and Ellen Lindsey Awuku, Vice President of International Falcon Movement-Socialist Education International – who will delve into topics such as:
- Innovative finance
- Climate resilience and adaptation
- New guidance and standards for sustainable and resilient infrastructure
You will also learn about ICSI’s plans and priorities for raising the voice of the engineering community and mobilizing critical players to act on climate change, sustainability, and resilience.
The event will consist of a series of talks, and panel and Q&A sessions. Want to be part of the discussions? Book your place now!
