This quarter, ICSI continued our global series of Nature-Positive Engineering roundtables in London, Rio de Janeiro, and Singapore, bringing together experts from organisations in the engineering sector, including port owner-operators, energy companies, policymakers, academia, civil society, financiers and many more.

These sessions brought together an extraordinary mix of voices, from offshore renewable specialists and resilient port operators to coastal management specialists and local authorities, to explore what nature-positive infrastructure looks like in practice. Their insights will directly shape our forthcoming NPE Foresight Review, set to launch next quarter – we can’t wait to share it with you.

We wrapped up our regional roundtable series in Singapore on 18 February, hosted in partnership with Conservation International and the Singapore Green Finance Centre. This session brought together a diverse group of financiers, banks, academics, civil society, and private sector experts to tackle one of the region’s most pressing questions: how can we unlock investment in nature-positive ports, shipping, and coastal resilience? From seeing nature as an asset class to scaling innovative solutions like AI, automation, and artificial reef structures, the discussion highlighted the exciting opportunities ahead and the regulatory clarity needed to drive investment at scale.
