A global effort is needed to ensure that critical infrastructure can withstand the impacts of climate change. Engineering firms, responsible for developing, delivering and managing infrastructure projects across the world, play a vital role in advancing these efforts. The Engineering Leadership Group (ELG), hosted by ICSI, is breaking industry barriers by bringing together the world’s largest engineering firms to address these challenges head-on.
The ELG serves as the collective voice of the engineering services community. By harnessing the deep technical expertise of its members, the ELG advocates for infrastructure that is equitable, resilient, and delivers long-term economic, social and environmental benefits for society and natural ecosystems. London Climate Action Week marked a key moment for the ELG members and collaborators, as firms including AECOM, Arup, GHD, Mott Macdonald and Worley, came together to launch ICSI’s 2025-2026 Action Tracks:
- Funding and Financing Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure
- Guidance, Tools and Standards for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure
- Energy Transition
Each Action Track is a focused workstream led by industry experts, including ELG members, that helps to drive practical, sustainable and resilient infrastructure solutions to combat the effects of climate change around the globe. The ELG, along with other ICSI partners, plays a crucial role in advancing these Action Tracks and fostering a collaborative environment for climate action.
