Led by ICSI, this Foresight Review zooms in on Nature Positive Engineering (NPE), and will engage stakeholders in an effort to define and bring clarity to what NPE is and what positive contribution engineers can make now, and in the future. The review will consider the implementation of NPE as an opportunity to redefine the traditional, solution-oriented approach of engineering to one that is ecology-inspired from the outset. It will also identify safety-related challenges and opportunities to ensure that NPE can scale up with minimal risk. This transdisciplinary approach works with nature for the benefit of society and the environment and sees people and civil society as integral to the success of the approach.
