We’re delighted to announce that the International Coalition for Sustainable Infrastructure (ICSI) and the European Council of Civil Engineers (ECCE) have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 10 October 2025, during the 81st ECCE General Meeting in Split, Croatia – hosted by the Croatian Chamber of Civil Engineers.
This MoU marks the continuation of collaboration between ICSI and ECCE to advance sustainable and resilient infrastructure development, climate adaptation, and professional excellence in civil engineering across Europe and beyond.
The signing takes place as ECCE concludes its 40th Anniversary celebrations – a year of reflection, recognition, and renewed commitment to the civil engineering profession. This vibrant gathering of ECCE Members and guests has been filled with important discussions, networking, and celebration.
Together, ICSI and ECCE will continue to:
- Foster knowledge exchange and expertise in sustainability, resilience, climate mitigation and adaptation, and engineering excellence
- Collaborate on joint initiatives to address engineering skills shortages and enhance professional capabilities
- Engage with international partners to shape policy and standards for the built environment
