After a whirlwind #COP28, we are pleased to share our key takeaways from the conference and our activities over the past two weeks.
Co-hosted by ICSI and the United Nations University, this session will explore what socio-ecological resilience means to different stakeholders in the context of disaster risk reduction. It will take a holistic approach to the concept of socio-ecological resilience by showcasing solutions across different contexts, scales and sectors.
Recognising that engineers are critical to building just, resilient, inclusive & sustainable infrastructure, this session will explore how to implement the UNDRR Principles for Resilient Infrastructure and showcase tangible examples of engineering-led transformative action, including practical capacity building of early-career engineers.

Celebrating success – With 154 events from 80 partners and featuring 176 participating organisations, the first ever COP Resilience Hub brought together a community of state and non-state actors in an unprecedented collaboration, and key individuals such as Alok Sharma the COP26 President.
