Race to Resilience

Official partner initiative

ICSI is an official Partner Initiative of the Race to Resilience global campaign.

The Race to Resilience campaign was launched at COP26 to catalyse action by non-state actors to increase the climate resilience of 4 billion people in vulnerable communities globally by 2030.

Through a partnership of initiatives, the campaign focuses on helping frontline communities build resilience and adapt to the impacts of climate change. ICSI engages with and mobilises the engineering community to help achieve this aim.

The Climate Resilient Infrastructure Report Series

The Climate Resilient Infrastructure Report series was first launched in May 2023 in an effort to report progress on the state of climate-resilient infrastructure and showcase best-practice case studies and initiatives from around the world. The series contributes directly to the Race to Resilience campaign.

High-Level Global Convenings

ICSI furthers the global agenda for climate action and resilience building at high-level fora such as COPs. Through direct engagement with the Climate Champions Team, the Resilience Hub and the broader UN climate agreement implementation process, we advocate for the role of engineers in building resilience for communities around the world.
