Advocacy

Infrastructure choices are often made without engineering expertise at the table. We change that, championing the engineering perspective and turning technical evidence into language that decision-makers can act on.

A multi-stakeholder, whole-system approach in the global maritime sector that seeks to enhance the resilience of ports and the communities that rely on them. As the world undergoes fundamental shifts due to decarbonisation, technological advancement and climate change, R4P seeks to ensure that maritime systems can withstand, recover from and respond to these changes.

A new collaborative effort to build a global engineering workforce that is equipped with the right skills, in the right places. It aims to become the definitive multi-stakeholder platform for tracking progress across the engineering profession, identifying emerging trends and skill requirements, and informing policy and investment decisions.

In an effort to highlight some of the exemplary climate-resilient infrastructure projects from around the world, ICSI has created The Climate Resilient Infrastructure Report series. This series of publications is affiliated with the UN-backed Race to Resilience global campaign, which aims to catalyse action to enhance the resilience of 4 billion people from communities vulnerable to climate change by 2030.

The collective voice of the engineering services community on how society responds to the most challenging issues of infrastructure sustainability. Hosted by ICSI, the ELG promotes infrastructure and related engineered solutions that are equitable, resilient, and deliver long-term economic, social and environmental benefits for society and natural ecosystems.

A global resource for infrastructure practitioners seeking clear, easy-to-navigate guidance on practical ways to integrate climate resilience into every phase of the infrastructure lifecycle: policies and plans, prioritisation, feasibility and preparation, funding and financing, design, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance, and end of life.

The Plan to Accelerate Solutions (PAS) for Resilient and Adaptive Transport Infrastructure is a collaborative initiative under the Global Climate Action Agenda. Led by ICSI, it brings together key global stakeholders to accelerate the development and implementation of resilient and adaptive transport systems.

Good advocacy needs good evidence. We produce the data, frameworks, and practical guidance that show what resilient and sustainable infrastructure looks like and how to deliver it.

We need engineers with the right skills, in the right places. We address capacity gaps in the workforce, equipping engineers to deliver resilient, nature-positive, and inclusive infrastructure.
